Sunnyside Park & Recreation Center

Take a stroll through Sunnyside Park or step inside the spacious Sunnyside Recreation Center, where you will always find an array of activities to keep your body and mind active.

Research shows that regular physical activity can improve stamina, decrease fatigue, strengthen muscles and improve sleep. Exercise can also ease pain and depression by causing the release of natural morphine like substances called endorphins. Mental activity – reading, working crosswords puzzles, sculpting or completing a complicated quilting project – not only takes your mind’s focus off pain, but it may even delay mental declines that come from aging.
