Keeping A Prayer Journal

Picture

Many people find that keeping a prayer journal enhances their prayer life. A prayer journal is much like any other journal or diary except that you write your prayers.  This not only helps keep you focused on your prayers, but it also allows you to go back at a later date to see your prayers and how they were answered.

There are no hard and fast rules for keep a pray journal, but here are some ideas:

Pick a book

Any type of book can be a prayer journal. Some people prefer to write in a nicely bound book; for others, a spiral notebook or binder works just fine.  The important thing is that you write regularly and from your heart.

Pick a time

Pick a quiet place and time to write where you can be free of distractions, but probably not in bed when you may find yourself dozing off.
